(EX-) President Putin vs (EX-) Candidate Khodorkovsky

This battle started on October 25th 2003, heavily weighted against the latter. His money turned to cabbage soup and ran through his fingers. His attempt to Berlusconi-ize russi collapsed. After being arrested by a special force in Siberia he basically never left incarceration which included the  ’Sailor’s Rest’ cell in Moscow and a prison near an old uranium mine in far-flung eastern Russia.

However the charges against him of a largely trumped up/obfuscatory nature were then redoubled where he seems to have been ‘done’ for theft and insider dealing and on top of that a failure to pay taxes. This seems excessive to most neutral observers.

V.Putin compares this case to the Madoff case where the latter had a Ponzi scheme and i think is doing 150 years or so..

Anyway, we outsiders can barely engage in speculation just try and smell which way the small plume of smoke is wafting.

Upon becoming president again V.Putin plans to visit Israel among other places, so it seems there is a window of openess here.

I was in Japan at the time of his initial incarceration and tried to ‘follow’ the turns and twists of the case. At least i have witnessed the metamorphosis of the Free Khordorkovsky website – which now no longer has a coundown ticker of his days remaining or the days he has been ‘inside’.

Still in Stream of consciousness mode..

Copy of a post another website:

I got out of Japan eight hours before ‘the big one’ hit!

Was doing a bit of late winter/early spring camping/climbing/hiking in South Kyushu when Shinmoe-dake did its stuff.
http://outreach.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp/eqvolc/201101_shinmoe/eng/

I was at Aburatsu – near Nichinan City in Miyazaki Pref when a light sprinkle of powdered dust hit me and I thought ‘damn glass/glue/iron factories!’
I asked the most mature-looking person near me – a japanese high school girl, what she thought and she said ‘Sakurajima has erupted!!’.

Anyway, over the next few days and weeks thought ‘this darn place is melting’ and ended up a few hours out of Heathrow when the captain of the B.A. flight said in a heavy voice that there has been a terrible earthquake.

I could see that most of the Japanese had not the slightest clue what he said so in a public-spirited manner I told the Japanese woman in her forties sitting next to me what happened. She thought for a moment and said:

“Daijoubu, Fukuoka in sunde iru kara(!!)”

- End of conversation..

=============================

So the upshot is i left japan about 6:30am on one of the first direct flights out of Haneda and the great Quake occured about 8 hours later”

The 2011 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tōhoku (東北地方太平洋沖地震, Tōhoku-chihō Taiheiyō Oki Jishin?),[7] also known as the 2011 Tohoku earthquake,[8] the Great East Japan Earthquake,[9][10][fn 1] and the 311 Earthquake, was a magnitude 9.0 (Mw) undersea megathrust earthquake off the coast of Japan that occurred at 14:46 JST (05:46 UTC) on Friday, 11 March 2011,[2][3][11]

So the event was quite surreal for me. I have my family in Kyushu so knew they were safe, although i had done a little time up in Morioka and had visited the iwate coast to renew a visa many moons previously. Anyway i think it was a morale crusher for Japan and I don’t think they will ever recover.

They were always going to have to confront fully the contradictions within their own society rather than seeing themselves in a large mirror placed ‘somewhere on a distant hill’ or on the far side of a river.

Japan has horrifically incompetent levels of crisis management or what they call ‘kikikanri.

The basic cost:

On 12 March 2012, a Japanese National Police Agency report confirmed 15,854 deaths,[24] 26,992 injured,[25] and 3,155 people missing[26] across twenty prefectures, as well as 129,225 buildings totally collapsed, with a further 254,204 buildings ‘half collapsed’, and another 691,766 buildings partially damaged.[27] The earthquake and tsunami also caused extensive and severe structural damage in north-eastern Japan, including heavy damage to roads and railways as well as fires in many areas, and a dam collapse.[17][28] Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan said, “In the 65 years after the end of World War II, this is the toughest and the most difficult crisis for Japan.”[29] Around 4.4 million households in northeastern Japan were left without electricity and 1.5 million without water.[30]

Early estimates placed insured losses from the earthquake alone at US$14.5 to $34.6 billion.[31] The Bank of Japan offered ¥15 trillion (US$183 billion) to the banking system on 14 March in an effort to normalize market conditions.[32] The World Bank‘s estimated economic cost was US$235 billion, making it the most expensive natural disaster in world history.[33][34]

Symbolic (Yang/Yin) Post #5

Three articles in today’s Australian Financial Times concerning Huawei and its founder Ren Zhengfei being disallowed entry into the Australian NBN.

Some vociferous criticism by sitting directors but I believe a company whose leadership structure is not clear and has hidden channels to the equally opaque Chinese Government and whose founder was a Red army officer and who allegedly ‘saved the U.S. market till last’  is obviously not providing services but is at war with the consumer – and fellow competitors.

I must upload my personal history soon, but with over ten years experiencing japanese lifestyle I see these China-based institutions very very differently than that of other ’round eyes’ who cannot escape the dialectical machinations of the mind. The Buddhist or oriental mind is clear or ‘vaporized’ of contradiction and places clarity of purpose, harmony, non-violence, obedience and loyalty above all!

All people and events are interlinked, all movement is registered as an animal within consciousness. Stasis and passivity are the resultants of this approach.

It was the impetus of Western virtues of embodying movement which allowed these countries to develop, yet the Chinese will always attempt to ‘digest’ these influences. That is the individual is broken and ceases to exist; the value of any one individual in an oriental society approximates ‘zero’.

How does this relate directly to Huawei/Ren Zhengfei??

In one article it mentions Ren Zhengfei prides himself upon invisibility and non-approachability.

I looked at the English and the Japanese entries of Wikipedia and what caught my eye was the company was founded in 1988, when the founder who was born in 1944 was 44 years old! In fact the German and Japanese websites say 1988 while the Chinese and English say 1987..

Throw the word superstitionin the bin because these non-verbalities are crucial!

What do the two Chinese characters mean for Huawei?

Hua….

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E8%8F%AF

Wei…

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E4%B8%BA

So the naive reading is ‘Illustrious Acts and the deep meaning is ‘China governs’.

A couple of internet articles which Google regurgitated:

Ren seems disinclined to shed the cloak of mystery that covers him. Frustrating both admirers and potential partners, the details of his biography have hardly become less sketchy in the past two decades. His military background, along with the still-undisclosed details of Huawei’s ownership, engender suspicion whenever a potential overseas acquisition comes along. A $200 million deal with India‘s Reliance Communications in 2007 survived security fears, but a bid for a minority share of United States-based 3Com this year did not. Ren’s chumminess with China’s Communist Party leadership and past accusations of intellectual property theft from Cisco (settled out of court in 2004) and Fujitsu (widely reported but not pursued) have not helped.

Since founding the firm in 1988, Ren Zhengfei has built Chinese vendor Huawei into arguably the most disruptive infrastructure player in the mobile market. When the next of the big name vendors exits the market through one route or another, and it really is a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’, then it won’t be an exaggeration to lay a portion of the responsibility for this at Huawei’s door.

A detailed comparison needs to be done between the strategies pursued by Sony and Toyota but basically Sth Korean and Japanese societies favour multi-company relationships known as ‘Chaebol’ & ‘Zaibastsu’ respectively – translated as conglomerates whereas China has a powerful centralised leadership to which a ‘warlord’ like Zhengfei must pay obeisance and pass on largess.

Equal weight to words and spaces

The internet may seem to be the culmination of technological prowess and we are supposed to be ready and waiting for how GOOGLE, APPLE, FACEBOOK and the others will change the face of the virtual technopolis but the opposite is also true.

The internet is the elephant’s graveyard for all things technological. It is the central space of negation. Human consciousness is empowered to the point of insensibility. Consciousness is hyper-empowered and then collapses back upon itself and the rudimentary tools it has always possessed.

The capacity to store, receive and negate via the sense datum of eyes, ears and the body itself (taste, touch, smell).

So hyper-empoweremtn leads to the opposite or hyper-negation.

Where does this negation take place – nowhere but one of these sense realms.

So we are plunged back to the original locale or provenience of our modern religions which all use the word as concretised bricks or negators.

These four ‘organised religions’ can also be listed:

1. Judaism.
2. Christianity.
3. Islam..
4. Buddhism..

Hey this list rings a bell!

In any case, the origin of  technology is the word as an original brick of material reality which is enlisted by consciousness for it’s own projects and purposes.

An initial ‘overlap’ of these two 1-4 statements could be the German language both embodied and annihilated Judaism as some sort of warped folding-back-upon-itself..

yet how can this be, the modular reality which the German and German-influenced nations experienced was anti-Judaic or anti-Semitic insofar as it saw Bolshevist U.S.S.R. and the irrational world as one and the same.

The conclusion must be drawn that Judaism was the exact opposite in it’s original appearance.

So what is the true way of confronting the World War Two period??

Hint: J.P. Sartre & ‘Kim’ Philby who bath ran their own Silent War during this vociferous conflict..

Forensic Ontologist

Ontology is a word that should be in common usage. It is the reasoning (logo) of ’being’ or Ontos. In everyday parlance ‘life, the universe & everything’.

We can check our best Internet friend wikipedia for the sheer number of Forensic whatevers:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forensic_science

Just as a word has a discrete meaning that combines with other meanings to create an overall understanding a silence also has a potential meaning although this is initially invisible as consciousness seizes upon facts. It is within these silences, lacunae, gaps etc that the Ontos appears, initially as a self/other confrontation but this is very quickly subsumed or internalised. However while consciousness is focused upon discrete reality the ontos lurks ‘behind’ as a potential negation or even apathy.

A teacher/student dialectic is an example where the teacher is showing the students facts for interpretation but each student is responding with varying degrees of indifference or ‘negation’. Until a student has developed dialectical consciousness they will not be able to confront this outer world of facts and absorb it into their increasingly unified ontos.

The important point is how can a person ‘recognize’ another without seeing through ‘everything’ or the jungle of facts and perceiving the other who immediately then becomes a potential self.

Existentialism is the most modern manifestation of Ontology where in the case of someone such as Sartre facts are about as important as ‘sweets’. However there is no need t5o permanently draw aside the curtain of reality and attempt to confront nothingness. So existentialism is an attempt to know what it is like to go nowhere…

I see an Ontologist as very close to a Novelist, that is a person who really studies the new. So a Forensic ontologist/Novelist would be someone who searches for ‘spaces’ in a field which appears closed or intricate and gives equal weight to words and spaces.

So a scientist sees the world as:

11111111 — 111111111 — 1111111111

An existentialist (Empty Ontologist) as:

—————— O —————————O ————————————O

Whereas a forensic Ontologist sees the world in this way:

 OOO ——- OOO——- OOO——- OOO—————

That is the fact or ’1′s become an existent but easily separated from consciousness as ’0′s.

Dostoevsky became a forensic novelist  ‘de novo’  but the truer method is to develop a new approach to something already semi-concretised. De-construction is an academic approach that emphasizes a text has already in some sense ‘failed’.

In any case, my intention is to develop an approach to the World War 2 period concentrating upon a particular event that has been false concretised.

Symbolic post #2

Blog to continue in a stream of consciousness fashion.. i.e. words jump tamely over the inner stone wall of the mind.

A process which works well in the orderly minds we are all supposed to have in order to co-exist in the rational hyper-interactive world.

However this Joycean ‘loner’ process contains hidden dangers..

A loner is a loser and the latter is a potential criminal or in global terms a terrorist. (This ‘four-step’ process is definitely worth studying and we can do that later..

This blog started off symbolically with the execution of Wu Ying. Consciousness is thrown into turmoil by the ‘disappearance’ of the perfect ‘other’ and must now re-found itself in a cataclysmic world. This is the process which starts empires as in ‘The rape of Lucretia’:

Lucrece draws on the story described in both Ovid‘s Fasti and Livy‘s history of Rome. In 509 BC, Sextus Tarquinius, son of Tarquin, the king of Rome, raped Lucretia(Lucrece), wife of Collatinus, one of the king’s aristocratic retainers. As a result, Lucrece committed suicide. Her body was paraded in the Roman Forum by the king’s nephew. This incited a full-scale revolt against the Tarquins led by Lucius Junius Brutus, the banishment of the royal family, and the founding of the Roman republic.

This proto-event breaks the tameness and causes a counter-reaction and then eventually the mind finds equilibrium.
The event which causes the most trauma in the modern mind is the twentieth century period the rise of the self-destructive ideological entities Bolshevism/fascism and their accompanying dictators in the countries then and again now known as Germany/Russia.

I believe this period is the ‘home of fraud’, there were so many executions/rapes/deaths/disappearances that the period seems unable to create the tame S.of.C as mentioned before.
Neither of the accepted methods statistical or case study can solve this period. It continues to resonate as though this period is alive today as a recurring potential.
Yesterday I received a Medvedev tweet and he mentions seeing the current head of the U.N. – at the terrorism conference in Sth Korea i think, and he hopes he is looking forward to ‘special handling’! Now of course this term refers to ‘Sonderbehandlung’ which was the most famous euphemism the Germans used for captive populations most notably the Jewish population.

A dichotomy is ‘always’ the root cause of pain.

This Christian-Jew dichotomy seems to be at the root here, where self-reflective thought crosses and recrosses a rational/irrational boundary. And it was the Nazi attempt to solve this alleged ‘problem’ which created the concept of final solution which became a term synonymous with that period.

There is a novel way of viewing this period.

There was no ‘victory’ in this period asininely termed World War Two merely the re-imposed ‘counter-solution’  of democracy on the one hand by the Allied powers and the delaying of this process in Eastern Europe. So if democracy is X + Y = Z, fascism is X + Y = X, then Bolshevism was X + Y = Y eventually stagnating into Y + Y = Y.  Where the bold term is an intensification or re-intensification of the original term as a mental construct rather than a true variable.

Democracy gives equal weighting to all three triadic elements, fascism weights the original or static element, Bolshevism weights the added element.

A statistical approach to the World war 2 period yields army strengths, battle casualties, executions, civilian casualties, pogroms, round-ups and extermination figures but the individual becomes subsumed. Any attempt to impose a case study becomes of course a psychological profiling of one of the famed leaders or the typical soldier/N.C.O./ officer of the various armies.

Then there are the myriad ‘wotifs’..

Yet there is a ‘solution’ to this period if the mind adjusts itself to viewing these events in the same way physicists view anti-matter. This period involved self-destructive energy or more precisely this energy centred upon the male. So this period lasted for as long as this self-destructiveness was capable of continuing. This continuation protracted due to continued ignorance about exactly how the Nazi leadership of Germany functioned.

The difficulties among the key Allied nations is better known but there is of course more..

Viewed in absolutely negative terms, where the war was triggered due to the negation of the negation approach by both totalitarian societies, this war was not won but rather retarded or arrested by the various counter-destructive or in the case of the U.S.S.R. counter-counter-destructive powers with the various entities list-able in terms of their self-destructiveness:
1. Nazi Germany.
2. U.S.S.R.
3. Expansionist Japan.
4. U.S.A.

So this list is definitely NOT a list of victors!!

It is a list of prime negators.
It enumerates the extent to which the country embodied a dimension of male-self-destructiveness.
So Nazi Germany was pushed into the plane of non-existence, the Soviets in the sensual plane, the Japanese were concretized and the U.S.A. at the level of overseeing this destruction at the level of enlightened consciousness.

The U.S.A. had difficulties countering the totalitarian surge as it followed what I term an approach of logical optimism, an 18th/19th century approach to existence permitted by its massive living spaces.

Today, a different story..

More synthesis to follow…

The case of Wu Ying

Formerly China’s sixth richest woman, now another death row statistic staring at each bowl of food as if it is her last.
There is really no limit to commentary on China, but my emphasis is that the citizens of this country are slowly being liberated by historical forces.
It should be swiftly added that there is actually no conceivable entity which can be registered as ‘China’.

in other words ‘china’ is a political hologram based upon an early nineteenth century decaying concept known as Communism.

This pseudo-entity is looming as an ever larger and larger geo-political problem.
How can the U.S., Europe, Japan and tiny little countries like Finland and Australia of course react to this assymetric issue..??
Any commutation of this brutal sentence possible?
unluckily she may have been chosen in order to ‘encourage the others’ as the French said of the British execution of an admiral several hundred years ago.
In this case the exact opposite of course.

This case a parallel in Japan against a young hyperactve entrepeneur mockingly called ‘Horiemon’ who was eventually liquidated by the close-knit old boy establishment.
His main crime was using U.S. raised capital to leverage a takeover of Fuji T.V. which is run by the usual suspects of poker-faced dwarfs.

The case seems to have been institued to take the heat out of private lending, i would say 98% chance of a decrease in sentence to 12-15 years or so.
